I'm back!

By that I mean sneesh.com is back - think I'll leave sneesh.co.uk linked to here too though.

I was supposed to be in Luton this week - a nasty job working in the top of the hangars there checking the bolts on the lifeline runways (did I mention I'm not too good with heights?). Fortunately, the muppet down there messed up and the job has been postponed

Onsite testing down in Bournemouth is coming up soon - I may have mentioned this before, but FR Aviation have the BEST canteen ever...

Which brings me to the weather (how English huh?) - it's shit  . I mean PROPER shit - this time last year it was beautiful, sunny and warm - right now it's grey and chilly and it keeps bloody raining  . Not too much point wandering down to the beach in Bournemouth to ogle the students when it's like this...sigh.

I'm hooked on the TV show 'Lost' - I've never watched it on TV though - I heard all about it about halfway through series 1 and downloaded the whole series and watched it in 2 sittings - instantly hooked. Luckily for me series 2 was already being aired in the US so I managed to get that too. Series 3 has been a bit of a pain, as it aired the same time in the UK and US so I could only get 1 episode at a time - and it seems I've now got the final episode (downloaded at work this morning - and yes, I'm gonna watch it now too  )

OK, I'm jusr reading on the b3ta.com site (see links on the left) and came across this gem from the 'housemates from hell' QOTW:

Used to live with two guys, Little Sam and Big Sam. Little Sam was quiet, tidy and non-confrontational. Big Sam was loud, 'crazy' and liked the drugs.

Anyway, one particular week I'd had a bad cold and the bin in my room was full of snotty tissues. After work one day I come home to find Big Sam looking suitably ashamed.

"I want to let you know I did something I'm not proud of," he said.

Alarm bells.

"I really needed a shit, and there was no toilet paper in the toilet. I checked the whole house and all I could find were the used tissues in your room."

Okay.

"I need to know. Was it snot or jizz? Because I wiped my arse with them."

LMFAO

Great grafitti

Was surfing and found this:

Grafitti

I miss my domain...

Sigh, sneesh.com is down for a while - I'm trying to find out exactly why, but with it being bank holiday weekend here now, it's not likely to be up again for a while  - until then, I've redirected my OTHER domain (sneesh.co.uk).

This also means that email sent to sneesh AT sneesh DOT com is not getting through - use sneesh AT fireflyuk DOT net

Regarding the bank holiday - I was thinking about that as I walked into work this morning - all because yesterday I was at Harriett's and got a cab home, arriving just after midnight or so. As I got out of the cab, I realised I'd left my keys behind, so no house key and no keys for work - bugger

The cab driver (nice bloke) gave me a free ride halfway to my mum's to get my spare key, then I wandered the rest of the way - past the Tudor (looking in to see if they were serving late - nope  ), then past the Globe (again, looking in to see if they were having a late one - nope  ), finally getting to my mum's. Then I had to wake her up, apologising of course. I finally got into my house about 1.30am.

Anyway, the reason I was thinking about the bank holiday was that if it's been tonight I'd left my keys - mum wouldn't have been home and I'd have been caught between breaking into my house (very difficult), or my mum's (less difficult, but no idea where she kept the keys).

Anyway - all's well that ends well, and I'm gonna stash a key somewhere in my back garden I think should this happen again - Corina has also said I could give her a copy (she only lives 2 minutes from me so that might be a good idea...)

It's all fun and games - 3 day weekend - WOOHOO!

I'm slightly bored at work

Pretty much caught up with everything going on, and don't really fancy getting dirty in the workshop (besides I still can't wear my workboots so it'd be a Health & Safety issue if I were in there...)

Which brings me to a subject I've not mentioned for a while: my ankle.

It's all better  no scabby bits etc. anymore - no pain either - it's fixed!

What else?

Well, the plugin I use to catch spam posts (Akismet) seems to work:

Fried Spam

Did I mention it's beautiful and sunny here? seems summer has finally arrived - I thought it had beforre but we had a 'stutter' which bought loads of rain and some chilly evenings (yes, even I wore a jacket a few times).

Well, I suppose I'll go get me some coffee and have a bit of a wander around (with some papers so I at least look busy  )

Ciao

Ack

Call that a cup final?

It bored me so much I was ready to leave 10 minutes into the second half.

Typical...we're almost at the no football for months point (just the Champion's League final to go now), and the penultimate game was a non-event

Other than that, the weekend was great

Cup final day

The cup. The first final at Wembley. The only thing missing is Spurs in the final - next year we'll be there.

Today I'm mostly gonna be supporting Man Yoo - I don't want Chelski to win anything else (when I say 'win', I mean 'buy')

THE worst day

My mum is so strong - her husband, first born and now her younger sister have gone.

If I never see another funeral I'll be glad. Today bought it all back from last year - I miss my dad and big sis so much.

I just got a call from Hat...she's a diamond

Sorry - it's a shit day, no (meaningful) football, just family stuff.

Seeya Josie

Blog entries are like buses - none for ages, then 3 come along at once...

Had to share this:

TGND mentioned something quite true the other day: lately there seem to be a lot of 'plastic' football fans - especially Chelsea. They've come out of the woodwork since Chelsea started winning. Spurs fans on the other hand, have had years of the 'maybe next year...' optimism - through thick and thin we've still stood up and said "Yes, I support Spurs - and I'm proud of it regardless."

"It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have
set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory."
- Bill Nicholson

The end of season

Sunday was the final day of the Premiership with all matches being played at the same time - I'd misread the kick-off time though and thought they all started at 1pm.

I'd asked Andy to give me a hand dumping a load of junk so I was up early and did a load of housework while waiting for him to call. He picked me up about 12 and we went off to his mate's house to pickup the lorry - we got lumbered into dumping a bed for his mate and some other stuff for my mum when we picked up a sack barrow we needed - that made up one load.

Then it was round to mine and load up with the old fridge, cooker and washing machine as well as a LOT of old computer parts/cases...that made a second load.

After dumping that lot in the rain, we decided his fridge freezer could wait until another time (and we both thought kick-off was approaching) so we went down the pub.

We soon realised I was wrong about the times so settled down to have a few beers - I ended up leaving before the game in the end.

As it turned out - Spurs won 2-1 agains Man City to finish 5th in the league and book their European tour next season.

A great season, having played 59 games in domestic and European tournaments, the whole squad has played the game it SHOULD be played - with skill and flair. Martin Jol is a great manager and I can easily see us finishing in the top 4 next season and getting into the Champions League.

I leave you with the Godfather himself, Martin Jol:

5 days worth of blog...in one

Well, Friday...that was supposed to be a nice quiet evening in - Harriett was off clubbing with her sister, so I decided to have a good meal, then chill in font of the TV watching a film or summat and have a bottle of wine.

Great plan - and it started off well too - had my dinner, then a relaxing bath and was just about to sit down with half a pint of wine (well, those little glasses are too small) when I got a text: "We're in the Old Sun drinking - can we pick you up so you can drive the car back to yours?" so off I went to get dressed.

I love my job...

The people I work with can be fun...y'all know about Corina.

We got a jack in from My Travel today...check out the paperwork:

The guy up there (Martin) is a good bloke - and for a Man Yoo fan he has a great sense of humour...

Yid Army!

I've said it before, but it needs saying again - Berbatov is pure class

I know I'm biased, but Keane and Berbatov is the best strike partnership in the Premiership - They both deserved the player of the month award. And let's not forget Defoe, what a star he is, coming off the bench on so many occasions to score superb goals - Defoe = definitive super sub.

Keane & Berbatov

5th place beckons...back into europe

COYS!

Actually, I had to smile - I checked on the Spurs website how many goals Keane had scored this season...when you look at the first team, the goals are coming from everywhere - even Robbo's scored

"In a world full of Uniteds, Citys and Rovers, there is only ONE Hotspur."

holiday weekends - gotta love 'em

The only bad thing about a long weekend is the fact that sooner or later it comes to an end. Having said that, it's been a mad time - went to see Spiderman 3 with Harriett on Saturday then we hit town - it was great fun - not many places you can go and get your nipples sucked by 2 gorgeous women, but I found it  and loved every minute of it - Andy was videoing the whole thing but only got about 5 seconds. I did offer to go through the whole thing again mind... . Shame really, it would have been a great youtube moment...

Still, Sunderland got promoted to the Premiership as champions, Chelski failed to win the title (yes, I actually cheered for the scum yesterday...how bad is that?). Talking of yesterday, it turned into another mad time. We were going to stay in and chilll, but Harriett's friend rang needing to talk so we ended up in town once more - didn't stay too long though, beer in the Cornerhouse, couple in the Priory, then back to the Tudor Rose to wait for the taxi. And then back to Harriett's where we drank a bottle of Bailey's...interestingly

Spurs play Charlton tonight - 3 games to go and we should finish in 5th place and get back into Europe next season.

Poor Corina...

Honestly, she takes so much from me at times.

Today was one of those times - she supports Chelski (remember them? they got beaten by Liverpool in the Champion's League semi final last night) so she got into work today to find some unknown person had sabotaged her computer to display a lovely background of Gerrard holding the cup as the computer played "You'll Never Walk Alone".

Snigger...I wonder who could possibly have done that?

Anyway, Both me and TGND have been winding her up all day - I just sent her the sound via MSN and got this back:

Corina

Life is good, life is fun

I love the summer

The weather has been pretty good here - sunny and warm. The football has been kinda special too, what with Spurs making a last push for European football next season with Berbatov playing the most amazing football I've ever seen (and Spurs have had their share of quality players - Lineker, Hoddle, Klinnsman, Ardiles, Villa etc.), he makes it look so effortless. If we can keep hold of him during the summer, next season is gonna be so damn good  take a look at his volley against 'Boro at the weekend:

Cost to us: £10.9 million. Worth to us: Priceless

There IS a god, and his name is Dimitar Berbatov
